PARKVILLE, MD June 21, 2017:
The Baltimore Regional Office of Vocational Rehabilitation is now compensating disabled veterans while they train at our non-profit Therapeutic Alternatives of Maryland (TALMAR’s) Breaking New Ground program. Veterans looking for a path to employment can contact their nearest vocational rehabilitation counselor to gain full admittance into our program, using Chapter 31 benefits. Veterans can take this training at no out-of-pocket costs and receive paid compensation throughout the program’s duration. Those interested in the following should contact TALMAR as soon as possible THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS JULY 1ST:

• Start your own agri-business career and gain financial stability
• Completion of our training provides:
o Organic certification
o Up to 9,000 sq ft of your own farm parcel
o 1-year of follow-up/mentorship
• 10-month USDA-aligned curriculum teaches everything you need to know about organic farming:
o Vegetables, crops and plants
o Livestock and plants
o Organic certification, laws, and rules
o Alternatives to pesticides
o Marketing strategies for selling your produce
