Rabbi Dr. Reeve Brenner, Bet Chesed Congregation, Rockville, MD.
February 23, 2014

Oakland Mills High School, 9410 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia
Rabbi Brenner’s book on the religious beliefs of Holocaust survivors received enthusiastic reviews when it was first issued in 1997. In February 2014 it will be reissued by Rutgers University Press.
In his visit to Columbia Jewish Congregation, Rabbi Brenner will discuss what he learned about those who survived the Holocaust and how they understood their experiences. Did they continue to believe in God? Did they walk away from the synagogue entirely? The topic is important to all of us who wrestle with how to understand God in light of the sometimes harsh events of our own lives.
