7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Natural History Society
This program is for people who have an interest in sketching natural objects.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 7-9pm to sketch specimens from our natural history collections as well as natural objects found by our volunteers and naturalists.
There is one still life display to work from, and many objects built around a theme. The theme for our February session is ‘Still Life in the Dead of Winter’. We’ll look at skulls, stalks, antlers, bones, and other items related to nature in winter.
Everyone from novice to seasoned artist is welcome.
The cost is FREE for members and $5 for non-members. You may want to bring a hand lens or magnifying glass along with the art supplies you’ll use for sketching. Adults are welcome to bring refreshments to enjoy while sketching.
Please join us to practice your sketching skills and spend an enjoyable evening with other nature and art lovers.
