The idiom “behind every great man is a great woman” is an expression that has been in use for some time now. The woman in question, usually, is a wife; the observation is that no man gets to be “great” in a vacuum, and some woman, somewhere, had a hand in the man’s success.
Please join us as we learn about the characteristics of some of history’s First Ladies of the USA beginning with Dolly Madison and ending with Eleanor Roosevelt. Has history recognized any impacts they may have had on their husbands’ presidencies.
