This will be the last chance to see the ever creative and unique Ruby Moon: a Parade of Vintage Elegance by The Dandy Vagabonds. Come join the artist and get lost in a world of whimsical wonder and and story.
Ruby Moon: a Parade of Vintage Elegance is an interactive exhibit highlighting early 1900’s innovative female performers who defied gender stereotypes and pioneered a platform on which we are honored to stand. The stories of these rarae aves are told through sculptural tapestries, toy theatre vignettes and advertisement style illustrated posters.
The Dandy Vagabonds are a Baltimore based pair of curious, playful artists who thrive on telling stories of whimsy, adventure, insight and balance through performance art, circus arts, fiber art, the tactile and the ephemeral.
Their inspiration comes from vintage opulence and decayed elegance, the collaborative pair, Elliot Mittens and Xander Duman create vignettes within themes of transformation, energy, gender and wanderlust. Such vignettes have been performed, projected and or exhibited at Baltimore’s Lantern Parade, Wilmington Delaware Fringe Festival, Night Vision NorthEast tour and Charm City Kitty Club amongst others.
