Ongoing from 1-4pm / Stop in at your convenience, stay as long as you’d like!
— Photographer Rose Anderson will host a display of her photos of both common and hard-to-find Spring wildflowers found in Maryland state parks
— Hands-on botany experiences to enhance your knowledge of flowers
— Flower-themed activities and crafts for children
ABOUT OUR ‘NATURE CONNECTIONS’ SERIES:
‘Nature Connections’ are free, Sunday afternoon programs with fun, hands on activities and explorations to help nature enthusiasts, families, and children connect with nature. Each ‘Nature Connection’ features:
— an in-depth presentation by a professional in the science / naturalist field, suited for an adult audience (beginners are welcome!)
— hands-on displays of specimens and artifacts, including taxidermy from our collections – staffed by knowledgeable enthusiasts to help guide your exploration and answer your questions
— live critters for many of the events
— indoor and outdoor activities tailored for families and children, including crafts
— And always, our NHSM professionals are on hand to chat with you and you are invited to browse our natural history collections on permanent display at the Center
