8:30 pm: MOVIE & DISCUSSION, High School’s Mintzes Theatre – use High School entrance
10:45 pm: MUSICAL SELICHOT SERVICE, Synagogue Auditorium

Set the tone for the New Year with an upbeat and uplifting musical Selichot service featuring Hazzan Avi Albrecht, the talented Kol Fusion a cappella group, Avraham Rosenblum on guitar and other musical guests.

The evening begins with a screening of the hit movie, “The Women’s Balcony,” a comedy/drama about community, old traditions and values and the power of women to keep all of these together in the face of modern religious extremism. What happens when blind faith, individual religious practice and modern sensibilities intersect? And what is the price of religious extremism? Join BT Community Educator Rabbanit Bracha Jaffe for a discussion of these themes following the movie.
