The Jewish Uniformed Service Association of Maryland (JUSA) will be holding an Inaugural Military and Law Enforcement Appreciation Awards Dinner honoring police, fire and military members on Wednesday, October 25th, at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. Confirmed dignitaries that will be attending, Maryland Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford, Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. William Pallozzi, President of the Baltimore City Council Jack Young and other elected officials.
We will be honoring Baltimore City Police Officer Ira Neil Weiner, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in West Baltimore in 1992, Baltimore County Firefighter Gene Kirchner, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 2013 and Col. Erwin Burtnick, commander of the Department of Maryland and chairman of the national Awards for Valor Committee of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA and president of the Ft. George G. Meade Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars.
