“Israeli Cuisine as a Reflection of Israeli Society” all day conference

The all-day conference features Israeli food scholars, writers, and chefs from around the world including Michael Solomonov, author of award-winning Zahav and 2017 James Beard Chef of the Year. Three discussion panels: “Living Off the Land: from Biblical Times to Today,” “Cuisine as an Expression of Modern Israeli Culture,” and “Israeli-Arab Food Politics.” Screening of the film, In Search of Israeli Cuisine, followed by a discussion with director Roger Sherman and producer Dorothy Kalins. Presented by the Center for Israel Studies. All sessions free and open to the public with RSVP ($10 donation requested for lunch).
