Interfaith trip to Italy
Rabbi Sonya Starr (Columbia Jewish Congregation) and Peter Barbernitz, D. Min.(St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church), will be leading an Interfaith trip to Italy, November 2-13, 2014. Join us for an Informational Meeting – Sunday, December 8, 2013, 7:00pm at The Meeting House, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia.
Venice: The most charming and poetic city in the world! See the Jewish Quarter, the Jewish Museum of Venice, Basilica of St. Mark, the Bridge of Sighs, the islands of Murano, Burano & Torcello, and more! Florence: The “Flower of the Renaissance”. See the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery, Museo Ebraico, Michelangelo’s David in the Galleria dell’Accademia and more! Rome: Shabbat at the Great Synagogue of Rome, walking tour of the Jewish Quarter, Basilica of St. Peter, the sites of ancient Rome, Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, Jewish History Museum.
