God and Evil: Theodicy in Jewish Tradition

Theodicy, or the justification of evil in a God-inhabited world, reaches back to the earliest Jewish texts.  Through selections from the Bible, Elie Wiesel, Mordecai Kaplan, Judith Plaskow and others, members of the seminar will be encouraged to develop their own answers to the problem of God and evil in our world.

Sunday mornings, March 23, 30, and April 6, 2014 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
