Gormley Gallery is pleased to present a survey of Baltimore abstract artist and former Notre Dame Art faculty member’s work in Gladys Goldstein: Retrospective and Alumnae Invitational, opening September 3. The exhibition will present a range of Goldstein’s artistic accomplishments alongside the work of selected Art department alumnae.
Gladys Goldstein was a prolific Baltimore artist whose career spanned six decades. She is widely known for her abstract paintings, and ground-breaking artwork with collage and handmade paper. Gladys Goldstein studied art at the Maryland Institute College of Art and later the Art Students League, in New York. Goldstein was an active participant in Baltimore’s art community, exhibiting locally and internationally.
