Dog lovers and dog owners! Baltimore Humane Society’s Dogfest featuring Paws on Parade Fundraiser Walk is Saturday, September 27th. It’s a dog day extravaganza for pets, pet owners, and pet lovers that benefits animals in need of care and refuge at the 365 acre no-kill shelter.
This Family Fun day takes place on the grounds of Baltimore Humane Society at 1601 Nicodemus Road in Reisterstown. There will be a fundraising walk, activities, games, events and contests galore! Here’s just a sampling of all the fun the day will offer: Dog Bowling, Hide ‘n Seek, 20-Yard Dash, and Paw Print Painting. There will be swimming, agility courses, and Mary Swift Photography’s Best of the Fest Photography Contest.
Not enough? Watch some fascinating agility demonstrations and even Shakespeare scenes performed about dogs! See if your dog qualifies for the AKC Canine Good Citizenship Award or enter your furry friend in some of our contests. Judged by a number of area celebrities, your dog could be the winner of contests including the Best Kiss, Best Costume, Best Trick, and Best Dancer. There will be food, face painting, lots of dog rescue groups, kid crafts, and even a moonbounce. We expect thousands of attendees so don’t miss it!
