The painting of actor David Garrick in his garden by Zoffany hung in Mr. Ladew’s Drawing Room. This same painting serves as the inspiration for a discussion by Matthew Hargraves, curator of British Art at the Yale Center for British Art. Hargraves will elaborate on the passion for collecting British Art in 20th-century America, along with a bit of garden history of Twickenham. Visit www.britishart.yale.edu.
