You’ve heard Carmina Burana before, maybe at times without even knowing it: The work’s driving rhythms make selections from Orff’s masterpiece a popular choice for television commercials as well as the concert hall. Come and hear Columbia Pro Cantare do it simply and directly, bringing out the primal nature of the work with full chorus, Kimberly Christie, soprano, Rob McGinness, baritone, David Dickey, countertenor, and a student chorus, accompanied by two pianos and percussion. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 7 pm and a complementary post-concert reception. Tickets are $23, $20 (students and sr. citizens)in advance; $2 more at the door. Children 5-15: $10.
