The Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society concludes its 23rd season of exceptional jazz concerts on Sunday, April 27, 2014 with The Roni Ben-Hur Sextet: Tribute to Wes Montgomery and Grant Green. The sextet features Roni Ben-Hur on guitar, Freddie Hendrix on trumpet, Steve Wilson on alto sax, George Cables on piano, Santi Debriano on bass, and Victor Lewis on drums.
Israeli-born guitarist Roni Ben-Hur has earned a reputation as a “storyteller” and “one of the jazz elite.” Renowned for his golden tone and crisp, fluid style, Ben-Hur has a signature sound that infuses jazz with melodies and rhythms from many cultures.
