The fifth-annual Rappel for Kidney Health invites people of all ages to scale down the 32-story Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel to raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD).
Participants will include people with connections to kidney disease, including transplant donors and recipients, as well as adventure seekers, media personalities and other local celebrities.
Everyone going “over the edge” will receive a personal fundraising page to assist participants in raising the required $1,000 minimum to participate in the event. Once the money is raised, participants will receive an event t-shirt, participate in a training session on event day and a commemorative photo of them in action.
Funds raised through Rappel for Kidney Health will directly support NKF-MD’s patient services, education and research efforts. Historically, the Rappel for Kidney Health event has created an unbelievable amount of excitement, drawing more than 200 participants and raising over $320,000.
