Firedrive Launches New Site

Firedrive Marketing Group recently expanded its service offerings and launched a new website that includes comprehensive information about Firedrive’s services and its team of experts, detailed case studies and executive insights on the marketing challenges organizations must overcome, as well as information on its newest services — one-on-one executive coaching for in-house marketing leaders and ideation and new concept development.

Firedrive tailors the delivery of its services to organizations that do not yet have an in-house marketing lead or department and organizations that need to enhance their in-house marketing capabilities.

New Shock Trauma Tower

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) recently marked the near-completion of 140,000 square feet of new space designed to care for the region’s most critically ill and injured patients.

Home to the world-renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, the new construction represents much-needed increased capacity. The original trauma space was designed to serve 3,500 patients a year and has been operating at more than twice that capacity, serving more than 8,000 patients annually the last several years. The new space is nearly fully occupied with patients, with construction having been completed in stages to enable staff to expand into the new areas as soon as work was completed on a given floor or unit.

Maryland Live! Hires Morishita

Travis Morishita has been named director of analysis for Maryland Live! Casino. Morishita brings more than 13 years of leadership experience in the areas of accounting consolidations, system implementation and strategic development to his new position at Maryland Live! Casino. Morishita will be responsible for managing the day-to-day analytical needs of the property, including preparation of key reports and presentations in areas such as budgets, financial forecasts, market reports, marketing analysis, customer service, operations, cash flow projections, labor modeling and business reviews, as well as the development of the operational and capital budgets.

Erickson Living Named Top Agency

Erickson Living announced that for the third consecutive year it has been named as a Top Agency of the 2013 HomeCare Elite, a recognition of the top-performing home-health agencies in the United States.

U.S. Trust Appoints Sandberg

U.S. Trust has announced that Kirsten Sandberg has joined its Baltimore office as a senior vice president and private client adviser. Sandberg was previously employed by M&T Wilmington Trust in its Baltimore office, where she was a vice president and private client adviser.

Sheppard Pratt Restores Gatehouse

Sheppard Pratt Health System has taken an active role in preserving its history and recently unveiled its restored and refurbished iconic Gatehouse, the oldest structure on the Towson campus and one of two gatehouses listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Gatehouse, which has graced the Charles Street entrance to Sheppard Pratt since 1860, is constructed with fieldstone quarried on the Towson campus itself. Now beautifully restored, the Gatehouse continues to catch the eyes of passers-by, as well as to welcome all who enter the campus.

Maryland College Investment Plan Gets Gold

The College Savings Plans of Maryland has announced that the Maryland College Investment Plan, managed and distributed by T. Rowe Price, has been recognized as a “Gold”-rated 529 college savings plan by Morningstar, Inc. This is the fourth straight year the plan has received Morningstar’s highest rating.

Steinhurst Named Development Associate at Myerberg

Jennifer Steinhurst has been appointed development associate for the Edward A. Myerberg Center. In this newly created position, Steinhurst will support the center’s development and advancement efforts by coordinat-ing donor activities and volunteer projects. Steinhurst will also help coordinate the center’s annual spring fundraising event.
