Laurence and Molli Golberg of Pikesville are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Beth, to Shaun Jason Elhai, son of Irvin and Lois Elhai of Owings Mills.

Rachel graduated from Towson University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a pediatric registered nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Shaun graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and received a master’s degree in forensic studies from Stevenson University. He is a financial analyst at the Social Security Administration and a realtor for Prudential PenFed Realty.

Rachel is the granddaughter of Kenneth Golberg and the late Marcie Golberg and Amichai Heppner and the late Shana Heppner.

Shaun is the grandson of the late Jack and Claire Elhai and the late Sidney and Rebecca Altshuler.

An October 2014 wedding is planned.

Stacey is a producer for NBC News and is assigned to the White House. Joshua is a partner in the law offices of Bobby Zirkin.

Lincoff is the granddaughter of Dr. Jay and Elizabeth Karpa of Baltimore, of Eunice Lincoff of Steubenville, Ohio and the late Morton Lincoff. She earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and is an attorney for the George Washington University Office of the Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

Yissachar is the grandson of Martin and Carol Lowenberg of Southfield, Mich., and the late Bernard and Adina Jerusalem. He is in his third year at George Washington University School of Medicine.

A February 2014 wedding is planned.

Erica received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree in reading education from Johns Hopkins University.  She is employed as a reading specialist for Montgomery County Public Schools.

Jeffrey received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is an account manager with WTOP Radio in Washington, D.C.

Erica is the granddaughter of Sylvia and the late Matthew Brams and Dr. Jerome and Marilyn Weiss. Jeffrey is the grandson of the late Dora and Meyer Miller and Cecile and the late Cyril Kessler.

A December 2013 wedding is planned.

Ariella earned a Bachelor of Science from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and is working in an intensive-care unit at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore.

Aaron is the grandson of Dr. Jay and Elizabeth Karpa of Baltimore, Eunice Lincoff of Steubenville, Ohio and the late Morton Lincoff. He is a senior at the University of Maryland.

Jordan Bart Schwartzberg, son of Stacey Needle and Michael Schwartzberg of Pikesville, became a bar mitzvah on Sept. 28 at Beth El Congregation and celebrated with friends and family that evening at the Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards.

Jordan is an eighth-grade student in the gifted and talented program at Pikesville Middle School. He is the grandson of Anita and Harvey Schein, Jill and Daniel Rapoport, Marty and Gail Schwartzberg and the late Barton Needle. He is the great-grandson of Edna Jacobi and the late Menachem Jacobi and the late Mollie and Alexander Arenstein.

Agus-Bregman

Jessica is the daughter of Robert Agus and Cantor Rochelle Helzner of Chevy Chase.  Her grandfather, Rabbi Jacob Agus, served as Beth El Congregation’s first rabbi from 1950 to 1980. Ben is the son of Doug and Brenda Bregman of Bethesda.

The couple resides in San Jose, Calif.

Gross-Saposnik

Fallon is a preschool teacher at the Jewish Community Center and also teaches in the religious school at Chizuk Amuno Congregation. She earned a certificate in culinary arts from the Center for Kosher Culinary Arts and pursues that passion in her spare time.

Noah works in fundraising as an annual fund manager at Montgomery College in Rockville. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida and a dual master’s degree in Jewish communal service and public policy from Baltimore Hebrew University and the University of Maryland,Baltimore County.

The couple became engaged over the summer at Disney World. An October wedding is planned.

Faye and Matthew Lessans

For their mitzvah projects, Faye and Matthew will donate a portion of their b’nai mitzvah funds to the Endowment Fund established in loving memory of their grandparents, Sara and Samuel J. Lessans, to support Jewish studies at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville. Faye and Matthew are seventh-graders at the school

Tilles — Lam

The ceremony took place on June 8, 2013 at La Concha Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ninety-four guests from New York, Maryland and California attended the celebration.

The bride was escorted to the chuppah by her parents. She was attended by her sisters, Alyson Tilles, maid of honor, and Heather Connors, matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Altarescu, Meredith McCullough and Randi Smith.

The groom was escorted to the chuppah by his parents and was attended by best man Michael Ganz. Groomsmen were Kevin Lips, Scott Bruno, Warren Drimer and George Dunnigan. Ring bearers were Gavin and Liam Connors, nephews of the bride. The flower girl was Catherine Bogucki, niece of the groom.

The couple honeymooned in Anguilla and reside in Bayside, N.Y.
