Gwynallen — Rothman

Fawn, formerly of Medford, Ore., and Wachapreague, Va., is the granddaughter of the late Rosalie M. and Russell R. Levin of Philadelphia and the late Mildred L. and Worth B. Allen, originally of North Carolina. Dylan is the grandson of Gloria and the late Edward Katz of Fairfield, Conn., and the late Annette and Morris Rothman of Carle Place, N.Y.

 
The future bride serves as a senior managing editor at Stansberry & Associates in Baltimore. The future groom is an associate at the Ezra Company in Bethesda and principal of NMSystems, Inc.

 
The wedding, to be officiated by Rabbi Shmuel Herzfeld of Ohev Sholom: The National Synagogue, is planned for the fall of 2015.

Weisser — Katz

Jaime graduated from the University of Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications. She received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and her master’s in estate planning from the University of Miami. She is employed as a real estate attorney.

Jonathan graduated from George Washington University, majoring in finance and marketing. He is an executive at a sports and events ticket consulting firm.

Jaime is the granddaughter of Sylvia and Jules “Jay” Saks. Jonathan is the grandson of Helen and Armand Gold and Esther Katz. A December 2014 wedding is planned.

Eric is a communications specialist at Johns Hopkins University. He received his master’s degree in corporate communications and public relations from Georgetown University and earned his undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Maryland.

Jen is an account representative for State Farm. She earned her undergraduate degree in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.

Eric is the grandson of Gloria and Hugh Schulman and June Sacks and the late N. Stanley Sacks. Jen is the granddaughter of Elizabeth and the late Baden Winters and the late Irene and Werner Jeurgensen

Jessica graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’ s degree in political science and religion. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law and a master of science in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an attorney and works as the compliance manager for Employment Background Investigations, Inc. in Owings Mills.

Daniel graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’ s degree in history. He works as the career promotion coordinator for the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine in Rockville.

Perolman — Parkins

Karen graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Jewish Studies and was ordained as a rabbi in 2010 by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. She serves as associate rabbi at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, N.J.

Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. She works as business development and training manager at The Chefs’ Warehouse, a specialty food distributor.

Joseph graduated from Brandeis University with a bachelor’s degree in politics and history.  He received a J.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and is an attorney with the federal government.

Jaime is the granddaughter of Melvin Julis and the late Libby Julis and the late Helga and Simon Ginsberg. Joseph is the grandson of the late Leonora and Ellis Edlow and the late Leah and Irving Katz. A June 2015 wedding is planned.

Philip and Mona Canter of Sykesville are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ariel Pamela Canter, to Marc Justin Landsman, son of David and Dawn Landsman of Rockville.

Ariel is the granddaughter of the late Sidney and Annette Canter and the late Saul and Elaine Genendlis. Marc is the grandson of the late Gerald and Ruth Landsman and the late Max and Leah Nankin.

Ariel earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages from McDaniel College.

Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park and an M.D. from Georgetown University.

Ariel and Marc reside in Washington D.C., where Ariel is a teacher for the D.C. public school system. Marc is a resident physician in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital.

Robyn graduated with honors from Bucknell University in 2011, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education. She also received a Master of Arts in elementary education from Johns Hopkins University and now teaches seventh-grade math in Jefferson Township, N.J.

Matt graduated with honors from Bucknell University in 2010, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and political science.  He is an associate manager at Nielsen Marketing in New Jersey.

Robyn is the granddaughter of the late Stella and Henry Parness and Belle and Ernest Roogow. Matt is the grandson of the late Claire and Irving Parker and the late Ida and Joe Linsenberg.
