Holiday Breakfast at the Y

Santa will park his sleigh at Family Center Ys on December 7th and 14th for a holiday breakfast hosted by the Y of Central Maryland. Children will enjoy pictures with Santa, as well as a variety of fun holiday-themed activities. Space is limited, so please register at your local Family Center Y at least 48 hours in advance.Holiday Breakfast is happening at all Family Center Y’s. Holiday Cookie Tasting Social

Take some time during the hustle and bustle of the holidays to visit with friends, share your favorite home-baked cookies and recipes, and bring a gift to wrap for Town Center’s gift donation to the Domestic Violence Center Adopt-a-Family project. Bring 2 dozen cookies with the recipe and go home with a copy of all the shared recipes and nice memories. To register, call 410-730-4744 or email villagemanager@columbiatowncenter.org.

Towson Family Center Y Ribbon Cutting & Community Event

Join the Y of Central Maryland for a ribbon cutting and free community fun day celebrating the opening of the new Towson Family Center Y on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This much-anticipated unveiling will reveal a large, modern, state-of-the-art Family Center Y responsive to the needs of the Greater Towson and surrounding Northern Baltimore County community.

The beautiful new building is the first LEED certified Family Center Y in Maryland. It will house two salt water pools – a family fun pool with waterpark-like features and a lap pool, a large state-of-the-art fitness center, a rock climbing wall, fireplace, health bar, modern adult, children’s and family locker rooms, multipurpose space, a modern gymnasium, recreational green space, considerable parking and more!

All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting and free family fun event, which will feature a moon bounce, face painting, balloon animals, arts and crafts, snacks, family Zumba, rock-wall climbing, family swimming, STEM activities, fitness class demonstrations and more!
