Spirited Women of Baltimore Power Lunch

MyCity4Her, Inc. will present the 7th annual Spirited Women of Baltimore Power Lunch, Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore (100 International Dr.) in Harbor East.

The event is expected to draw over 400 guests representing the most affluent, successful women in the business community, as well as elected officials, community leaders and business leaders.

In addition to a delicious meal, great prizes and networking, the lunch will feature the presentation of the 2013 Spirited Women of Baltimore Awards, which honor everyday women who make extraordinary contributions to their community and those around them.

“As the premier vehicle for recognizing women who are dedicated to making their community a better place, while excelling in their professional attributes, the Spirited Women of Baltimore Awards inspire others to seek within themselves and donate their time, talent and treasure as well,” said Monyka Berrocosa, founder/CCO of MyCity4Her, Inc.

Title sponsor is Dr. Michele Shermak M.D. and additional sponsors include The Law Offices of Jane Frankel Sims, Brick Bodies Fitness, Frankel Acura and Being There Senior Care.

The event proceeds will jointly benefit The Caroline Center, a tuition-free job training program for women in Baltimore, and the Giving Spirits Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization founded in 2007 with the goal to “shed light and pay it forward.”

“This new partnership is an exciting one for CarolineCenter, as it will allow our alumnae, who are just beginning their new careers in healthcare, to tap into a powerful network of local women business owners and entrepreneurs,” says Executive Director Pat McLaughlin, SSND. “Monies and awareness raised through the September event will go towards offering programs for CarolineCenter clients to help them develop further professionally.”

Since its inception, the Giving Spirits Foundation has honored 24 Spirited Women of Baltimore and donated over $100,000 in cash donations as well as supplies and in-kind services to the Red Cross of Central Maryland, The House of Ruth, Marian House and the American Heart Association-Maryland.

Admission to the Spirited Women of Baltimore Power Lunch is $60 per ticket if purchased by Aug. 9; $70 per ticket Aug.9 through September 6, and $75 thereafter. “Spirited Supporter” Tables of 10 including program recognition are available at $800.
