Open Mic Night at the Gordon

On Tuesday evening, September 10 at 7pm in the lobby of the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts, at 3506 Gwynnbrook  Avenue, Owings Mills, “Open Mic Nights at the Gordon”  will begin.

This FREE event is an opportunity for performers to showcase their talents to friends, family, or neighbors.   A P.A. system is provided so artists can come prepared with their acoustic instruments, whether they are guitars, voices, verses, or a djembe. Only hand drums can be accommodated (no drum set provided). Come one, come all! Spread the word about this to your music-loving friends.

Open Mic nights provide a great platform for amateur or up-and-coming musicians (or for that matter- poets, comedians, anyone who wants 15 minutes of fame). It’s also a fun night to be an audience member and enjoy supporting local talent—after all, artists cannot do what they do best without an audience.

Sign-up for the event starts at 6:30pm. First come, first served. Music begins at 7pm. Each artist will be limited to three songs. Refreshments will available for sale.

The Gordon Center strives to give more local artists performance and collaboration opportunities. Stay tuned for an exciting 2013-14 Gordon Center season of national talent in music, dance, comedy, film and more to be announced later this summer.
