Rafael Alvarez Reading at LitMore

Not an April Fool’s joke! Popular Baltimore author Rafael Alvarez will read from his new book, Tales from the Holy Land.

Rafael Alvarez is a short story writer based in Baltimore and Los Angeles. He was a longtime City Desk reporter for the Baltimore Sun where he wrote obituaries while documenting the folklore of the old port city. Alvarez wrote for the first three seasons of the HBO drama, The Wire.

Job Search Network Group

The Jewish Community Services Career Center offers the Job Search Network, which meets twice a month and is free and open to the community. “College Savings Starts Here” Road Show

The “College Savings Starts Here” road show gives families the opportunity to meet with College Savings Plans of Maryland representatives and learn more about the State’s two Section 529 plans. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enroll in the Maryland Prepaid College Trust on-site to lock in future college tuition at today’s prices before the April 7, 2014 deadline.
