Dangerous Voices Variety Hour

The Dangerous Voices Variety Hour takes its cues from such diverse inspirations as the popular 510 Reading Series and NPR’s quiz show “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.” The 2-hour free event features readings, irreverent author interviews, trivia, prizes, and more with Compton Crook Winner Myke Cole, along with Rahul Kanaki, as guest readers. After DV ends, feel free to hang around the clubhouse for Daily Science Fiction’s “Rocket Dragons Ignite” book release party.

J Street Maryland Town Hall

When Secretary of State John Kerry relaunched peace talks last year, he asked the American Jewish community and supporters of a two-state solution to build a great constituency for peace to show that we stand behind his efforts to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On February 1, Maryland and DC will answer the call. We’re honored to have retired Israeli Gen. Amram Mitzna, current Member of the Knesset and an outspoken advocate of peace, to explain that peace is not only possible—in fact it’s essential for Israel’s future as a democratic, Jewish homeland. The meeting will be chaired by J Street President Jeremy Ben-Ami. Join us at 7:00pm at University of Maryland’s Riggs Alumni Center to show your support and build the constituency for peace.
