Fashion Saves Lives

“Fashion Saves Lives” Fashion Event of the Season

Hosted By:  The American Breast Cancer Foundation, in collaboration with The Johns Hopkins Breast Center on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus

Where:  Port Discovery Children’s Museum

When:  Tuesday, December 10; 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Cost:  $25 General Admission; $125 VIP

Description:  Fundraiser for breast cancer early detection testing for those who could not otherwise afford it, featuring breast cancer survivor models; international fitness expert and entrepreneur Lynne Brick, WBAL-TV’s Sarah Caldwell, food samplings from across Baltimore, including Joe Squared and Nalley Fresh; clothing provided by Jones and Jones of Cross Keys, and Jos. A. Bank Clothier; emcee’d by Keith Scott, CEO of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.  The museum will stay open for children during the entire event.

“As a Parent, Knowing When to Hold and When to Fold”

“As a Parent, Knwoing When to Hold and When to Fold”. Techniques for saying “no” when yo feel pressured to say “yes”. Howard Reznick, LCSW-C and guest Vicki R. Mermelstein, MS, LCPC will co-facilitate.

JCS offers a parent discussion group series addressing the many challenges of parenthood.  The group will be held monthly, 6:00 – 7:30 pm,  at Jewish Community Services in Owings Mills, 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue.The series is free and open to the public.  For information and registration: jcsbaltimore.org/parenting-series or 410-843-7568.

Babysitting is available and provided by the JCC. There is a 2 hour time limit and the cost would be $4.50 per child.  These passes may be bought in advance or at the Front desk on the day of parent discussion group.
