Spring is in the Air Concert to benefit the Edward A. Myerberg Center

Enjoy an evening of selections from your favorite operas and Broadway musicals celebrating love, romance and springtime at the Edward A. Myerberg Center’s Spring is in the Air concert presented by the Modell Lyric Opera Baltimore. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Proceeds from this event benefit the Edward A. Myerberg Center, which provides educational and recreational programming and social services for older adults.

For each ticket purchased to the Spring is in the Air concert, patrons will also receive a 25% discount on single admission to Nabucco at the Modell Lyric Opera on May 9 and 11.
Located in northwest Baltimore, the Edward A. Myerberg Center provides over 150 enriching programs each year for 1,200 adults ages 55 and over, including classes in painting, sculpture, current events, technology and fitness. The Center’s Eating Together program is the largest in Baltimore City and serves 11,000 meals each year to seniors.

A three-part discussion series sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Howard County to educate the community of the realities facing Israel and the Middle East. All sessions will be held at 7:00 p.m. at The Meeting House, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia. Dessert reception will follow.

In this session Avi Melamed an Independent Strategic Intelligence Middle East Analyst will talk about : “The Middle East: Winds of Change and Quicksand – The Arab Awakening, Israel and the Region”
Session 2: March 27 – Yoram Peri
In this session Yoram Peri, Director of Gildenhorn Institute for Israel Studies, University of Maryland will talk about: “Israel in 2023: What Might We Expect?”
Session 3: April 10 – Avi Jorisch
In this session Avi Jorisch a Senior Fellow, American Foreign Policy Council will talk about: “Banks, Bombs and Sanctions: How rogue regimes abuse the international financial sector.”
