Rappel for Kidney Health

Make an impact on kidney disease in an extraordinary way at Baltimore’s only exclusive rappel event.The fourth-annual Rappel for Kidney Health invites people of all ages to scale down the 32-story hotel to raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD). The event takes place June 8 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, located at 700 Aliceanna St. in Baltimore. Everyone going “over the edge” will receive a fundraising web page, get a rappelling time slot, undergo a training session on event day and be photographed while in action. Funds raised through Rappel for Kidney Health will directly support NKF-MD’s patient services, education and research efforts. Cost: Minimum $1,000 pledge required. The Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival

The Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on June 8-9, 2013, at The Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium with an enhanced Kids’Art component highlighting theatrical and musical performances, face painting, mime, story telling, and shirt tie dyeing.  Attendees can also view the winning artwork of the “Annapolis:  The Arts” poster contest from students at Bates Middle School Performing and Visual Arts.

Admission for the Arts, Crafts, and Wine Festival is $30.00.  This entitles the ticket holder to wine tastings and purchases of wine. Non-tasting tickets are $8.00 and ages 12 to 18 are $5.00.  Children under 12 are free.  Parking is $5.00 per car.
