Some members of my family died in the Holocaust. We escaped it, thankfully, to America, to a land of freedom, not to a resurgence of Nazism. Jews and all others must not let this vast and profound incitement to deadly hatred steamroll over us (“Jewish Baltimore Stands with Charlottesville,” Aug. 18). We must respond by biblical example, by everyone teaching understanding and by all communities reaching out to one another: Jews, Christians, Muslims, African-Americans, Caucasians, Asians and all others in this country to present a united front. United we stand.
We must fight back in any way we can to make a difference. This is not Nazi Germany, this is America.
