Defining Intentionality

January 8, 2014
There are many different types of intentional communities. Here is a short list:

Agricultural communities: Communities promoting living on (and off of) the land.

Co-housing: Old-fashioned neighborhoods that bring together the value of private homes with the benefits of more sustainable living. That means common facilities and good connections with neighbors.

Eco-village: Intentional communities where the goal is to become more socially, economically and ecologically sustainable.

Student co-ops: Provide services, facilities and activities to enrich the lives of students who live there, often including a communal physical fitness center, stores, lounge and/or café, as well as communal programming.
