Sheppard Pratt Restores Gatehouse

December 18, 2013

Sheppard Pratt Health System has taken an active role in preserving its history and recently unveiled its restored and refurbished iconic Gatehouse, the oldest structure on the Towson campus and one of two gatehouses listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Gatehouse, which has graced the Charles Street entrance to Sheppard Pratt since 1860, is constructed with fieldstone quarried on the Towson campus itself. Now beautifully restored, the Gatehouse continues to catch the eyes of passers-by, as well as to welcome all who enter the campus.
